More Than a Decision
Discipleship is the ongoing process of following Jesus — learning his ways, obeying his commands, and being transformed into his likeness. It is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey walked in community with other believers.
At OA Othniel Ministry, we believe discipleship is the heartbeat of the Church. Jesus did not commission us to make converts — he commanded us to make disciples: people who follow him deeply and reproduce that following in others. 2 Timothy 2:2 is our model.

What Defines a Disciple?
Abiding in Christ
A disciple stays connected to Jesus through prayer, Scripture, and worship. John 15 is the pattern — apart from him we can do nothing.
Obeying His Commands
Discipleship is not merely knowing about Jesus — it is doing what he says. Obedience is both the evidence of love and the path of transformation.
Making Disciples
Disciples make disciples. The Great Commission is not optional — it is the calling of every believer to go, baptise, and teach all that Jesus commanded.

We pair mature believers with those who are newer in faith for weekly discipleship meetings using the Discipleship Handbook.
Small Group Training
Discipleship small groups of 4–8 meet weekly in cities across Ghana for study, accountability, and prayer.

Our twice-yearly gatherings provide intensive teaching, corporate prayer, and a space to encounter God deeply.
