Kingdom Expansion: A Privilege to Serve

When we talk about Kingdom expansion, we must consider how privileged it was to serve before Solomon—how much greater is it to serve the King of kings, the God of all creation?

Jesus emphasized this in John 15:16:

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit…”

Thus, we understand that what qualifies us to serve in this kingdom is the fact that Jesus chose us. And what a privilege that we, who according to divine demands are accounted reprobates, that we will receive the pass to serve before the eyes of a perfect God!

The fact is that God qualified us by His grace. Therefore, we must serve faithfully, knowing we will give an account and be judged according to the demands of the one who chose us to serve. If we are faithful, we will receive a crown; otherwise, we may lose our reward.

Also, this privilege should destroy all pride. A proud believer doesn’t understand that he, by himself, is unworthy. But true humility recognizes the blessedness of being chosen, not because of merit, but because of God’s grace. As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:29:

“No flesh should glory in His presence.”

Lastly, the kingdom expansion requires tools for the heavy work at hand, and the same God who called us is faithful to equip us. Everything needed to expand His Kingdom—grace, wisdom, provision, strength, etc., He has already made available by the supply of His Spirit within us.

“Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24) Knowing this, we can step out in confidence, trusting His ability that is at work in us, and the grace which qualifies us.
You are privileged, and you are equipped to bring change.
Through you, God desires to expand His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
Walk in this understanding, serve with humility, and expand His Kingdom wherever He places you.
